Dine LA (Los Angeles) Week

It’s always a love and hate feelings for those dining programs which make me eat and eat and gain and gain more pounds. Well, who cares? Nothing can be better to have great food and wine with friends and family. Bon appetit!!!

Event Photoshoot

This was a fun event photoshoot which I can get up close to one of the largest commercial plane. Enjoy!

POD - Model Photoshoot

Picture of the Day(POD) SunnyCow would like to share a few photos. These photos were processed by some nice preset at LightRoom.

DIY R-Strap

Why should we pay like a $65 R-Strap that you can DIY for $15. Check out the clip of how I do it in 3 minutes. Many people had already post their method or tips on how to make one. However, while I was really making one and found it trouble on how to tie my strap in a loop securely by using the common use strap adjuster. That’s why I put up my own video more focusing on that as well. In short, you can get the components at www.strapworks.com

Components seen in the video:

1. Strap with 1 adjuster already sewn at one end

2. 1 additional strap adjuster

3. Plastic cam buckle

4. Snap hooks

5. Recycled shoulder pad

At last, you need to get the camera screw and some rubber o-ring for the connection part at the camera. I got the Induro made camera screw that referral by other photographer and the rubber o-ring at Home Depot. It works very well.

Have fun and email me if you have any questions.

POD - Model Photoshoot

Picture of the Day(POD) SunnyCow would like to share a few photos that I took few nights ago. I liked the last one especially it captured the movement of the hair and some great hair lights at the back. It has taken from the side with ambient light.

P.S. Due to request, I put on 2 more photos in the same shoot in this posts.

Toyota Grand Prix - Long Beach

I went to Toyota Grand Prix Auto Race at Long Beach, California few weeks ago. It was a very nice beautiful sunny day which was perfect for auto race. Here is the sky view photos I got from the rooftop of Grand Hyatt. This picture was taken by the Canon G11 point and shot with the stitch feature. I took 4 frames of photos and combined/ “stitch” them together. It came out quite alright which I think worth to share especially considered these were taken without tripod.

More pictures posted here to capture some of the highlights and excitement of the day.

Of course, I wouldn’t miss the racing girls.

At the end of the race, they had a drifting performance and once again to cheer up the crowd as the finale. As you can see the last picture and how exciting of the woman at the left hand side. This picture was created by continuous shots with layers over others. It was done by my beginner Photoshop skills but it’s still fun to share.

Archos 7 Home Tablet - Apple iPad Alternative?

The ARCHOS 7 home tablet is the first 7’’ Android™ tablet to deliver the Internet and all the applications for your digital lifestyle whether you’re lying on the couch or you’re out and about, for a breakthrough price of just $199. The ARCHOS 7 home tablet sports a 7’’ touch screen and a slim form factor of only 12 mm thick. Weighing approximately 350 g (0.8 Ibs), the ARCHOS 7 home tablet is extremely portable and can be easily carried around the home.

Highlights:
- 8 GB capacity for about 4000 songs, 80,000 photos, or seven full-length movies
- Seven hours of video or 42 hours of audio on a single charge (Doubtful)
- Seven-inch TFT LCD touchscreen with 800×480 pixel resolution, 16m colors (Should be excellent – I had an Archos 605 and the video quality is superior)
- Supports H.264/MPEG-4/Real video codecs in AVI, MP4, MKV, MOV, and FLV file formats; MP3, WMA, WAV, APE, OGG, FLAC (well…wait and see if you need to pay extra to get the plug-in … I say very likely)
- Supports Micro SDHC card

If you are an Android fan, it’s worth to check it out. However, according to the unconfirmed source this baby is run on Android 1.5 only. So don’t get too exciting. They might allow a firmware upgrade but who knows when that will happen.

With the price tag of $199 at pre-sale on Amazon, it is pretty attractive for another flashy gadgets to carry around.

Hello World - Sunny Clouds at SunnyCow

Hello World. Welcome to SunnyCow. This is my first post, first blog, first site ever. This is totally like a whole new world and I am super exciting for it. In this blog, I will share my photos, photography tips, gears, tech info and review, deals and etc.

I always believe a picture is worth more than a thousand words. Little pieces of bits and minds together will form a different picture. Same photo at different time and place with different people will have a different feelings. These memories are priceless.

Why SunnyCow? I wish everyone can catch some sunshine and be sunny in their hearts and minds. Moo…Moo…. be a happy California Cow and say “cheese”. Stop for a second now, look up to the sky, what do you see, how do you feel, do you smell anything, can you feel the breeze? Did you just have a split seconds of thoughts went through your mind that crack you a good smile.

Congratulations! You’ve changed. Welcome to SunnyCow.
